The Pennsylvania Teachers Advisory Committee (PTAC) endeavors to create a direct pipeline between teachers and decision makers within Pennsylvania. PTAC is comprised of highly recognized teachers from across the Commonwealth and reflects the wide variety of teaching settings that exist within Pennsylvania. PTAC strives to communicate substantive feedback reflecting the voices of classrooms across the Commonwealth to the decision makers who impact those classrooms.
Numerous organizations and publishers have drawn attention to the powerful impact of teacher leadership. PTAC aims to leverage that potential by connecting stakeholders and teacher leaders.
The Governing Board of PTAC is the link between stakeholders and PTAC members, as well as the decision-making body of the organization. A core goal of the Board is to be representative of the public education profession in Pennsylvania, including teacher leaders from diverse school settings, geographic regions, teaching levels, and content areas.
